About Beito Resort

What is Beito Resort?
A year-round mountain resort at Beitostølen, offering hotel rooms, apartments, cabins, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, a summer park, cycling, and hiking – all within walking distance.

Where is Beito Resort located?
Right in the heart of Beitostølen, 900 meters above sea level, at the gateway to Jotunheimen – about a 3-hour drive from Oslo.

When is Beito Resort open?
All year round, with activities and experiences for every season.


Accommodation

What accommodation options are available?
Hotel, apartments, and cabins – including Beito Resort Hotel, Riddergaarden, Bergo Rom, Hovi Cabins, Gjestegaarden, Stølstunet, and Ridder Apartments.

Is bed linen and cleaning included?
Yes, at the hotel. Cleaning is included in cabins and apartments, and bed linen can be added as an extra.

Can I bring my pet?
Yes, many of our units are pet-friendly. Please notify us when booking.

What does parking and EV charging cost?
Parking in our areas is managed by OnePark. More details about paid parking at Beitostølen can be found here.


Winter and Ski

When do the ski lifts open?
Usually in late November, with a snow guarantee at Beitostølen Ski Stadium from early November.

Where can I find trail information?
At skisporet.no – updated daily throughout winter.

Do you rent out ski equipment?

Spring

Can you go skiing at Valdresflye in spring?
Yes! Valdresflye is famous for spring skiing – often possible well into May. You can start your ski trip right from the roadside and explore miles of high-mountain terrain with sunshine, snow, and stunning views of Jotunheimen.


Summer and Activities

What can you do in summer?
Hiking, biking, horseback riding, SPEL, and the Summer Park.

What is the Summer Park?
An activity park for the whole family featuring trampolines, soapbox cars, bumper boats, electric cars, and a trail arena.

Do you rent out bikes?
Yes, both e-bikes and mountain bikes.

Where does the National Tourist Route Valdresflye start?
At Beitostølen – right by Beito Resort. The road runs across the high mountains towards Besseggen, offering spectacular views of Jotunheimen.

How far is it from Beitostølen to Besseggen?
Besseggen is just 40 minutes away – one of Norway’s most famous hikes, with dramatic scenery, steep climbs, and a unique boat ride.

By car (E16 via Fagernes) or by bus from Oslo and Oslo Airport Gardermoen to Beitostølen.
